In 2020, Caravan Palace heads back to Europe on tour, including several stops in their native France. The latest album Chronologic was released in 2019, their fifth to date. The band began in 2008 and is known for its multi-instrumental, high-energy performances. A while back, he started playing Caravan Palace around the house and I was hooked, and I was also embarrassed that I had not heard of this amazing electro-swing band from Paris before! When they came to play at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, I was thrilled to be there to capture the fun. The energy that their lead singer Colitis Zoé gave out was so powerful and positive and for me, going to a concert is all about the performance of the band as well as listening to their music through speakers so loud that it rattles your bones.One thing that is pretty cool about having a musically-enlightened teenager is that he, well, enlightens you about bands.

These guys are a French electronic music band based in Paris and who take their musical influences from bands such as: Django Reinhardt, Vitalic, Lional Hampton and Daft Punk. Dance vibes were all around me when they were playing and it was super hard not to drop my camera and start jumping with the crowd who were right behind me.

The group is comprised of 6 band members: Arnaud Vial - programmation, Charles Deleporte - contrebasse, Tøøstøø - trombone, Colitis Zoé - lead singer, Victor Raimondeau - saxophone, Paul-Marie Barbier - piano, vibraphone and let me tell you, they know how to make you want to dance. Caravan Palace kicked off their European tour with their second night spent here in Scotland, right here in Glasgow at the 02 Academy.
